A token board is a system for rewarding appropriate behaviour. Your child/student will get to pick something that can access after they get all their tokens (time on iPad, candy/chocolate, playing a game, draw/color, etc.). You can provide tokens for completing appropriate behaviors that you would like to see happen more often.
Sometimes, children, youth, and even adults may need a little more help to figure out how to properly take a deep breath. When a child experiences an event, situation, or encounter that makes them sad, angry, or silly their heart rate increases and their breathing becomes more shallow.
The goal of these exercises is to get the child into a calm state. Deep breathing helps get more oxygen into your bloodstream. It has a physical effect on your body to help you calm down and lower stress.

This is from a trip to the Vancouver Museum as they have a running exhibit. It is called Neon Vancouver-Ugly Vancouver. Neon signs were very popular and seen all over Vancouver in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. There were an estimated 19,000 neon signs glowing around the city. This was more than any city in North America, including Las Vegas.
