This is from a trip to the Vancouver Museum as they have a running exhibit. It is called Neon Vancouver-Ugly Vancouver. Neon signs were very popular and seen all over Vancouver in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. There were an estimated 19,000 neon signs glowing around the city. This was more than any city in North America, including Las Vegas.
The Palm Dairy table-top sign was made between 1934-1940. It probably rested on a soda fountain wall. The car crash sign was around the 1940s, but was most likely home decor in the 1970s. The Star Weekly table-top sign was made around 1935-1950s. This probably sat inside a corner store.
